Food Justice
This project will focus on the theme of Food Justice: How community gardens can take their place in the changing food system and address the climate and nature crises. We will use an asset-based community development approach to build a food movement in both cities. Through Sustainable Food Partnerships and other democratic means, we will facilitate the collective voice of Community Growers to affect systems change. This work builds on our existing networks both at grassroots and policy level.
Development Trust NI with expertise in leases, licenses and community asset transfers of land will act as our partner in this programme. Funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
